
The Crèdit Andorrà Open, organised by Tennium, will bring the best international tennis to the Principality: the first women’s WTA 125 in the country’s history. The tournament will take place from 28 November to 4 December at the Polideportiu d’Andorra.
The tournament has started with a very even day where we have enjoyed clashes of more than 3 hours. In the first match of the day, the French player Oceane Dodin, won against Zakharova. Then, Katrina Scoot has overcome the first round against the French Jesika Ponchet after a very intense match that lasted three hours and forty-three minutes. The next to advance to the second round was Rebecca Peterson. Sabine Lisicki’s victory over Sara Errani put the finishing touch to a long day with a high level of tennis.
Tomorrow promises excitement. With the debut of Georgina Huracán García and the clash of the number 2 seed, Alison Van Uytvanck against her compatriot, the Belgian, Yanina Wickmayer. The first match of the day will be for the top seed of the tournament, the Chinese Shuai Zhang.
