The Crèdit Andorrà Open, organised by Tennium, will bring the best international tennis to the Principality: the first women’s WTA 125 in the country’s history. The tournament will take place from 28 November to 4 December at the Polideportiu d’Andorra.

The main draw of the tournament, which was drawn this Sunday 27 November at 2 p.m., has revealed some very interesting crossings. The top seed, Shuai Zhang, will face the Serbian, Nina Stojanovic. Another match of note is the match between the number 6 seed Sara Errani and the current number 35 in the WTA ranking, Sabine Lisicki.

The young promise of Andorran tennis, Vicky Jiménez, who has already trained today on the Crèdit Andorrà Open centre court, will play her first match against the tournament’s number 3 seed, Germany’s Tatjana Maria, on Wednesday 30 November at 19:30.

The tournament director, Joan Jiménez, wanted to highlight “the good matches we will have in the first round, with very fascinating clashes, such as the two Belgian players, Yanina Wickmayer and the number 2 seed of the tournament, Alison Van Uytvanck”.

This tournament has the support of Crèdit Andorrà, Govern d’Andorra, Comú d’Andorra la Vella, AnyósPark, Inmobiliaria Galí, Pyrénées Motor, Isdin, Wilson, Andbus, Quality Andorra, RTVA, Bondia and Joma.
