The Creand Andorra Open, organised by Tennium, will bring the best international tennis to the Principality: the second WTA 125 and one of only 30 tournaments in this category worldwide. The competition will take place from 27 November to 3 December at the Polideportiu d’Andorra.

The day began with Celine Naef’s defeat against Erika Andreeva 2-6 6-4 6-4. In the second match of the day, the veteran former world number 11 Alizé Cornet beat the Spanish Nuria Parrizas Diaz 6-1 2-6 6-1.

The third of the day was a quick match with Britain’s Heather Watson winning on Wild Card Alina Charaeva 6-2 6-1.

In the most anticipated match of the day, Andorran Vicky Jimenez crashed out of the singles draw at the Creand Andorra Open today against the tournament’s second seed and current world number 85, Clara Tauson 6-2 6-4. The Spanish Marina Bassols closed the day with a victory against Ekaterina Reyngold 6-3 6-2.

On Court 1, guest Sarah Iliev has fallen against Poland’s Katarzyna Kawa. In the first doubles match of the tournament, Lumsden and Ponchet beat Nicholls and Schoofs 6-4 2-6 10-8. The doubles pair Bucsa and Panova have fallen to Falkowska and Kawa.

The Andorran Vicky Jimenez will play her doubles match tomorrow, Thursday, November 30, no earlier than 5 p.m. Tickets for this match are free.
